Service Description

The PATH™ Kids: Tailored Demo Scene Collaboration is a one-of-a-kind 9-week program for young artists ages 8–14 who are ready to build confidence, discover their unique presence, and learn what it means to shine on camera. Designed and led by active entertainment professionals Greg Sims and Kimberly Atkinson — with a combined 55 years in the industry as actors, writers, directors, and producers — this course blends professional-level training with joyful, kid-centered discovery. Unlike traditional acting classes that focus only on memorization or stage technique, PATH™ Kids takes a holistic, modern approach. Each child explores their own magnetic qualities — the authentic traits, energies, and strengths that make them stand out. Through guided exercises, workbook prompts, and group games, kids learn to trust their instincts, listen deeply, and bring their full selves into a performance. They also begin to understand the professional audition process in a supportive, playful way, building tools they can use both in front of the camera and in everyday life. Over the course of nine Saturdays, students will: Learn how to manage nerves and transform them into creative energy. Build courage through listening games, improvisation, and choice-making exercises. Develop on-camera skills, including presence, eye lines, and self-tape readiness. Explore their personal “casting type” with the help of peers and instructors. Collaborate with instructors to create a custom, solo demo scene that highlights their individuality. Rehearse and refine their scene with professional coaching. Film their scene in a supportive “on set” environment, experiencing the excitement of a shoot day. Celebrate their growth in a final viewing party, with families invited to see each child’s work on screen. At the heart of this program is the balance between personal growth and professional experience. Every child leaves with more than just a filmed demo scene — they leave with increased confidence, stronger communication skills, and a deeper sense of creative agency. For families exploring the entertainment industry, the finished demo scene can also serve as a professional calling card, a first step toward auditions, representation, or advanced training. For families simply seeking a meaningful creative outlet, it’s a joyful keepsake that celebrates their child’s voice and imagination.
